Description

Request for mono files fail. After a long discussion on the mailing list we found out that annotation for request it's not supported. Could you please add this to the parser?

I think that the proper way of solving this is to use the audio_to_stereo operator which will convert any stream to stereo. Does it work for you?

Sorry I didn't answer at the right time. No. It doesn't solve the problem.

Finally David told me to create a ticket.

"No problem, I am sorry for not having implemented the syntax for all
type annotations.

I don't have much time right now, so I'll give you a workaround, but
*please* fill in a bug report so that some day I remember to make a
proper fix and allow the type annotation (or somebody else adds this
to the parser).

The following function will have the effect of the type annotation:

def request_any_audio(r) =
  ignore((request.dynamic({r}):source(*+1,0,0)))
  r
end

Use it as follows:

next_track_request = request_any_audio(request.create(next_track_filename))"
