helix player does not work on Mandrake 10.1

If I start playing e.g. modules/playlistExecutor/var/test10001.mp3, then after a few seconds pause it, and after another few seconds try to restart it, it will just make some strange sounds while fast- forwarding to the end. This doesn't happen always, but most of the time (about 80%). If I keep pressing play - pause - play - pause etc., I get a crash. The same happens with RealPlayer (version 8.0.3.421, linux-2.0-libc6-i386-gcc2.95). These mp3 files may not be quite perfect or standard (I made them with audacity), but the Totem player plays them fine. Does splay run your test10001.mp3 well? you can use ls- root/bin/splayTest.sh Does the Mandrake 10.1 distibution have the HelixGoldPlayer include? Are there patches within the source of the mandrake HelixGoldPlayer to compile it for 10.1? Abandoned, since we are moving to gstreamer instead of helix. no problems for not work helix and real gold, instal versão last real player 8.0 RealPlayer-8.0-1.i386.rpm is very good working in linux mandrake 10.1..........instation rpm good luck Gib@ gilbertpink@hotmail.com BRAZIL
